Paterson Nominates New State Police Spt.

Less than a week after Acting State Police Superintendent Preston Felton went public with his plans to step down, Gov. David Paterson announced today that he has selected Felton's replacement: Retired State Police Col. Harry Corbitt.

Interesting announcement to make on the same day the old Troopergate scandal, in which Felton was involved, is back in the news.

Montgomery Neighborhood Center

Danny Walker, (Social Coordinator for the Montgomery Center) nor I knew when he extended an invitation to have R.A.M.P. come and speak to his community center group; he would have a bright group of future stars. The young men (members of the Montgomery Boxing Team) that participated in this social gathering to learn about R.A.M.P.'s purpose and mission were very much interested and weren't afraid to ask the difficult questions of our association.

Though the numbers of participates were not many, the small size of people was comfortable and everyone who attended learned more about their community and those who work in it. At the end of our talk, the center provides a nice lunch which was enhanced by Walkers own special sauce. (Soon to be available at your local grocer).

We the members of R.A.M.P. look forward to our next community event. Bridging the gap between the Police and the Community. Reaching a higher level.
